Commissioners can now import their players from a previous game into a new football pool for this season. This works for players from ANY previous game including a football poll from a past year, any Super Bowl Squares game, a March Madness bracket or even an Academy Awards pool.

To use this new functionality simple create your game and then look for the “Import Players” link on the Invite Players page under the Commish Panel.

Tie Score

November 17, 2008 | PermaLink | TrackBack

Since the Eagles and the Bengals were unable to score in OT we have our first tie since 2002. What does this mean for your football pool?

  • No points were awarded in Pick ‘Em pools because neither team really “won”.
  • The same goes for Confidence Pools where no rank points will be given for either pick.
  • In Pick ‘em ATS pools the tie results in a Cincinnati win since they covered the 9 point spread.
  • In NFL Survivor, players who picked Philadelphia were eliminated because their pick failed to “win” outright. (No one picked Cincinnati this week but this would have resulted in a loss as well.)

New NFL Leaderboard

September 30, 2008 | PermaLink | TrackBack

This morning we announce the publishing of our NFL Leaderboard. The top 10 points leaders from the various football pool formats will be updated each week after the conclusion of Monday Night Football.

How do your picks stack up against the best players from the site? Do you have what it takes to make it onto the leaderboard?

Baltmore vs. Houston Rescheduled

September 14, 2008 | PermaLink | TrackBack

Week Two’s match-up between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans has been moved to Week 10 due to damage at Reliant Stadium from Hurricane Ike.

How will this affect scoring for this week?

NFL Pick ‘Em
The BAL vs. HOU game will automatically be removed and not scored.

NFL Survivor
If you picked either BAL or HOU for Week Two, please change your pick before 1:00pm EST.

NFL Confidence
The BAL vs. HOU game will be automatically removed and all games ranked lower will be incremented by one. So the highest rank for the week will still be 16, but the lowest will be 2 (not 1). This is the fairest way to update everyone’s ranks and not penalize anyone who ranked BAL or HOU high this week.

Example: You picked HOU to win and ranked the game 5. Since this game is not being played, the game you ranked at 4 will become 5, 3 becomes 4 and so forth.

These changes will take effect at 1:00pm (EST).

Monday Night Football Tie-Breakers

September 11, 2008 | PermaLink | TrackBack

Players participating in Pickem or Confidence Pools with weekly prizes can now use the MNF game to break any ties. Tell your pool’s organizer to enable tie-breakers through the “Commish Options” panel.

The final score can be entered as a game total or as predicted scores for both teams. It is up to your Commish to decide exactly how to break the tie (closest to actual score, point differential, etc.).
